Speaking of Rover 800s, surely one that was prefacelift but with a grille is top level tat, I for one have NEVER seen one.

-edit: Not too sure about the existence of a pre R17 800 with a grill coming from the factory, wiki says they existed but i think someone might have just got happy with some glue and their 800s bonnet......

I have seen a couple on eBay over the years. I think people literally tack a R8 200 grille on the XX bonnet, to 'modernise' it.

my old rover 400 had one of those dodgy bolt on grilles.

As did all 200/400s after 93 or so. I prefer the flush nose, but the grille looks alright on the 200/400s, at least it's integrated.

And also R4s technically (if you mean what I think you do!)Nah, I'm sure he said Rover 800s, it was recent-ish when they were driving the Nissan cube with its asymmetric rear (that I like ) he said something like "it has one side that looks different to the other like on the Rover 800 - except on this it's deliberate.." - ah, who knows?!I always liked the Rover 800 dashboard.
