Sorry about the poor quality of the photo's. Taken in a bit of a rush Tuesday lunch time, limited space too. That's my excuse anyway.

(Clickable thumbnails).

I had hoped to find a suitable thread to bung them in but don't want to hijack an established theme.

Yep, nicely put together. Never seen one previously as far as I can recall.

Spotted this rather tasty CX outside Centreville Garage this morning:

Sorry, these are not thumbnails but the full size images are here

Excellent spottage! Bet they are utterly horrible to live with though.

I'd love one, always liked them but the prospect of much bother with them is rather daunting.

Apologies for the crap quality, should have used a camera not the rubbish phone.

I spotted a souped up J reg mark 1 Escort (Mexico?) in a light shade of orange today. Pretty damn cool. 8)

I always wanted one in orange or purple, with yellow being the 3rd option. The orange would be a souped up one obviously, the purple probably a 1300E, both would have to have the rear panel in black 8)

Spotted at the CCC Northern last Sunday.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

There used to be one of these down our street when I were a kid (it were new) that my dad would drool over.

Haven't seen one since - would have been about 1956.

 Phwoooaaarrrgggghhh. Jowett Javelin. I shall dream about those tonight so thanks for posting a pic of that. 8)

Lots of nice stuff, including:

(Photobucket working again, it had even uploaded the JJ although it pretended not to have for a while)

I successfully buggered most of my photo's there. Either inadvertently deleted them or crewed the white balance. Fat too many buttons on that damned camera, should have taken the OM1 and waited 'til next year to see the results :?

The CX was remarkably in showroom condition, completely unrestored and was on it's original tyres.

Much banging and growling but not a lot of going anywhere.

For anyone interested there is a Bijou on eBay just now.

Lots of cracking photo's.

I found this rather intriguing:

should have taken the OM1

Yep, can't beat an old Olympus 35mm SLR! Got an OM2SP as my main one... OM2N as my backup body... first camera was an old OM101 (weird Power Focus thingy) and I got a 707 on evilbay so I could use the AF function on the lenses... but the 707 is a right half-arsed bit of design and I mostly use t'old mechanical stuff now.

Once had the OM2SP on a strap with stupid plastic fasteners, which broke, so I dropped it, must have been five feet, onto the granite cobbles of Guildford High Street... picked it up, looked over it (not so much as a tiny dent) and carried on using it. Never gone wrong since, either. Bloody marvellous. Lord Lichfield used 'em, tha knows...

Spotted a fine example of an Opel Manta near work, orange like the original thing in this thread with some fairly naff stickers on it but nearly showroom condition and not modded, thankfully.

No camera on hand, naturally :(

That's the rare 'Khmer Rouge' edition, with a gear zero.

Sorry.

Or O for Overdrive... (believe it or not!).

This all stems from Becchia the engine designer. Pierre Boulanger, the Citroen MD, wanted a three-speed gearbox, but Becchia knew that his rev-happy motor would need four, so he called fourth 'overdrive' and somehow got away with it. Only very early 2CVs had the overdrive marked instead of fourth though I think.

About nine or ten years ago, I got the chance to buy a Bijou for £400 already fitted to a Dyane chassis so it could actually move. Didn't have a garage at the time so declined. Idiot!

Not a spot as such but a Flickr photostream by an embalmer.

As my daughter will soon qualify as an embalmer the BBC article caught my interes then saw the link

Unfortunately individual images can't be displayed here but there are several interesting hearses including a motorcycle & sidecar one that amused me.

A real 'spot' among many others was this rather fine SM last Sunday, at the Wetherby CCC meeting.

If I'd have known you were there, I'd have said hello... I took a look in on the Saturday evening when walking the dog - what was the truck?

I made a brief appearance on Sunday when it was peeing down sideways. Every time I go to Wetherby it rains

Jesus, someone please find the owner of that SM and force him at gun point to change the plates to black and white ones. Those modern plates look terrible on a car like that.

I have some photo's but not uploaded yet, I'll bung them on soonish.

May have been gone, left about six-ish on Saturday.

It does indeed! The skin is falling off my face with being windblasted for two days :(

What were you in? I was in the C5 in front of the SM. Not a proper Citroen but Hey Ho!

May be swapping it for an Xm soon :)
