Hi all! I've recently acquired a 2006 Peugeot Partner LX600 1.9D with the 1868cc DW8, naturally aspirated diesel engine, to go alongside my 2008 Toyota Aygo.

Spot of maintenance this morning to keep things fresh.
✅Engine oil and oil filter renewed
✅Air Filter Renewed
✅Diesel Fuel Filter Renewed
✅Gearbox Oil Renewed.
Currently sitting at 97,984 miles, hopefully it'll keep going for another 97k.

Anyone have experience of these and sister Berlingo vans?

Nothing this side of a Citroen CX or Rolls Royce rides better than one of these.  Speed bumps, potholes etc, all an irrelevance.

Your gearbox oil looks nice and clean!  Is 5w30 a little thin for the old 1.9 diesel?  I’d have thought 5w40 might be nearer the mark but I’ve never checked what the book says for them!

Nice one! By all accounts this motor is the least complicated and usually least trouble prone one of the set. Were petrols and hdis options on the commercials?

Cant go wrong with one of these. Ive had mine nearly 10 years, just keep an eye on the sills and the rear axle. Both easily fixed. 97k aint even run in. It will never win any sprints from the lights, but probably wont get you any speeding fines either. Nice wee van you have there

I'd have thought you'd have said 10w40!

+1 they list that oil (5w30) for my prius. Correct grade is 0w20

Anyway @Lewis Mackland is it running better? Bit quieter?

Haynes says either 5w/30 or 5w/40- I thought go a but thinner since i'm going to be using it in the middle of the Scottish winters too. I wasn't sure when the gearbox oil was last done as I've recently acquired it, with no service book but wanted it done as peace of mind.

Revs build up quicker and hopefully the MPG is a but better.
