Very nice. And crusty.

There's a Mk1 Morris garden ornament down our street (horizontal rear light clusters with the pointy wrap-around ends!). I must snap a pic - letting the side down.

EDIT: Hey! This is the one - some tat-perv on Flickr has already captured it. hk11_a40. Is that anyone on here?

Calm down station! No need to blow a gasket! :? GOOD WORK KEEF, a pair of rear doorskins for one of these sold on eBay for about 80 spuds a couple of weeks ago. J. Cedric may have some spare maxi doors available, PM me if you want his phone number.

DVLA says Date of Liability 01 06 1988 so 21 years!Luckily the old chap had left the handbrake off.Engine turned over but couldn't get it to fire. Must be a short in the distributor as horn sounded when I wired it up from the coil-feed and coil fired up Angy's A35 OK.

Read the caption: I didn't take it! :-)I should have put speedgazebo URL on as well.

Shame we couldn't get it to start - but well worth saving methinks :) If all goes to plan it should be on its way to Dartford on Sunday.

Clean the points, freshen the fuel - spect it'll cough into life-making moving it a damn sight easier...Dont touch the brake pedal though-once pushed they'll lock on after all this time Use the handbrake if forced to take it 'round the block'...

Done all that..the horn worked when connected to the coil feed proving there was power getting to it, but there was no power coming out of it. Yet when I put it on my A35 it fired up first time :?

Clean the points,or flick them to see if power is there. Bet they've cudded up - a simple swipe with a small piece of sandpaper will do in the short-term.Rig up a gravity feed fuel supply direct to the carb -having dribbled some in (direct) first. Spark at the points- fresh fuel, it'll cough 3rd turn. (Assuming it WAS a reasonable runner when laid up -and not left there cos it had died!)

Keef fitted new points, they were opening and closing but there was no spark whatsoever. The ones in the car gave the same result, although they looked new. We think the car wouldn't start, the previous owner tried to get it running again, failed and simply bought a new car. We had a gravity feed as well. I tried the coil out of my A35 as well, with no difference...

No spark at the points. Did try replacing the coil to dizzy lead, but at that point .....Brake pedal was locked solid anyway.Hopefully five of us should be able to push it onto the trailer. Failing that it will have to be done *slowly* with rachet straps. :-(
