So, trainage did not go to plan.

My planned train was 5 coaches instead of 10, but would get me to my destination in 3 stops. It would have meant standing up for the thick end of two hours. No thanks I'll get on the stopping train and take an extra 25 minutes.

I did actually board it before bailing back out for the following train.  Which is very quiet.

Wow! How does that compare? is the seat/window alignment good just in 1st Class or does it extend throughout the train?

Its quite good in my experience.  The seats are firm in standard, but the legroom is good.  

I quite like them.
