I came across some old advert clippings I got when I was about 13 from a bunch of old National Geographic magazines from the 1960's, 70's, & early 80's. The magazines were at my high school where they were being used for collages and stuff like that, I (very poorly) cut out a few adverts that I liked with a Stanley knife. A fair few of these are American market, but others are international market adverts:

What a car the Fulvia was.

I also noticed that labour was charged out at £3.30 an hour. I know there's been a lot of inflation since then, but 18 months later I started my first job in the gas board at £32 PW. Labour charges have gone up by a factor of around 30, so now a 16 year old should be getting a £1000 a week.
