Thankyou mateI couldn't agree with you more ,that is one of the main reasons i like all my cars and want to preserve the cars that once were hugely commonAlso i would love to recreate a street scene with all my cars for ashes to ashes lolIf that vp has a solid front end snap it up mate!!!a pristine one went for £2200 last year and i feel they are going up nicely in price so they are actually an investment if it is a tidy oneAlso join the Allegro club, really helpfull friendly club with a good spares service!!good luck if you buy itcheersRichie :D

By any chance do you keep a portrait of an Allegro in the boot...?

On a technical question and to dispel or proove urban mith is it true Allegros are more airodynamic going backwards

Yes it is true and the same applies to the 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III, which has the aerodynamics of the Bank of England when proceeding in a forward direction, so Allegro owners are in good company.Great collection richie, and in really nice condition too ; have you got a pic of the Alfasud :) Welcome

+1 for the picture of the Sud. I love Suds - had two of them. Only had three Allegros though so you got me beat there, although one of mine was a VDP.

Aha, hello! I know you from your Datsun purchase don't I? Didn't realise you had so many other cars - very impressive! Will was impressed when he saw the 120A, sounds like you got a good buy there.

Welcome and WOW!!! What a great collection of downtrodden, unloved and generally rust-prone motors! As for the picture of an Allegro in the boot of your stunning Equipe, I think he's making a reference to Dorian Grey.7 estates! 7!!!:shock::shock::lol::lol::lol::mrgreen::mrgreen:

Thankyou mate,i wanted an older car that has character but a little more reliable than the Allegro, the old bx fits the bill lol

cheers

Richie :D

BX is a top choice. Hope it was cheap though. Mine was £266 with MOT and tax and only has a completely rotten arse. That's ok. The towbar adds some strength at the rear! Though that's rusty as well...

www.bxclub.co.uk is there if you need tech assistance/advice/sympathy.
