Hopefully I'll be able to pick up this vast heap o shite at the weekend! :D

Only 43k on the clock, one giffer owner from new - 600 bucks and it'll be mine! Plus, it's a beige car with a brown interior with a beige vinyl roof and a whacking great 5.0l v8, how can I go wrong?

You need to upgrade your Photobucket account - probably too many images in it!

That's called a "landau" roof. It's was an especially popular option here to have 1/2 of your roof covered in vinyl with a nice big chrome edge surrounding it. Makes it look like a convertable. From 500 feet away. While it's moving. And you've got one eye shut...

Top class! It looks like it should be in a "Beastie Boys" video.

That looks like a fantastic car for bouncing around town in, just before a single bullet causes it to explode in slow motion from four angles with more force than a thousand A-bombs. Tip: whenever you see a 'bandwidth exceeded' pic, right click it, click 'copy image address' and paste it into your browser address bar. An easier way, depending on browser, is to drag the image onto your tab bar.

I can't see those either, Fred. Weird. I'll post some proper pics on sat if / when I buy it.... :?

Excellent - a Ford LTD Crown Victoria, a pre 1987 one as well.CLASS. I love these 'Panther' platform Fords. Still going as the default US cop car, and the Lincoln (Town Car) and Mercury (Grand Marquis) variants.

Got to be one of the oldest volume-production chassis still being made, no? 1979 was when the basic hardware came out, I think.I like these Crown Vics, they are honest crates from a time before technical advancement - live rear axle, OHV lump (before the 4.6 anyway), perimeter frame. Every single one I have ridden in as a cab in the US has had over 200k on the clock and the "Check Engine" light resolutely lit, but still runs without complaint...someone once said that low-tech US iron like this will run the longest without major mechanical breakdown, and I can well believe it.

I've ridden in some cabs with well over 400k up over here. The damn thing should be nigh on un-killable. I just hope it's still there on Saturday as I can't get to go look before then...
