I love this Metro, see it around quite a bit.

Went to the scrapyard in Aldermaston today, was mostly Fiestas and Corsas but it did have some fairly interesting tat in as well:

Sadly, this CF camper was not there reception, shame really.

Newest car was this 2006 Astra, ouch. Bodyframe held up pretty well though.

The main reason we went was to find a 2.0 cavalier, and lo and behold, here is one! May be pillaged very soon.

No plates on this, it must have been standing for a while before entering the yard surely?

The electrics still worked on this, pretty crusty though. No doubt a failed MOT.......

......as this could have been as well. Pretty depressing when your own college car is in worse shape than a scrappy car.

And finally, this is the oddity as its not had a CoD issued, and was mainly complete. I am presuming it has sentimental values.....

 

Anyway, pretty good yard, shame that there was more interesting stuff at the back where people arent allowed, such as a Ford D series and Toyota Hiace Camper, to name but a few. Fairly good prices as well.

DVLA states it as off the road since 1990, so its not a scrappage victim or anything, possibly saveable....

It was at the top of the yard, and they use either the cars power or a forklift to move cars.Its possible another car caused the damage, although it didnt do anything to the bonnet, possibly a tree fell on the front wing?

Went back to the Tadley area today, and discovered another Sierra, this ones pretty desireable.

One for fred! First MKII i have seen for absolutely ages.

This just showed up randomly where all the car delears were, its not scrappage before anyone says.

This is also a newcomer, i was thinking where all the early 309s had gone, and then this babe shows up.

Another Capri. Sounds pretty rough but is a permeanant resident of this car park.

Hey that Fiesta looks suspiciously like one that a friend owned some years back, I think it had been bought out of a scrapyard and smartened up, but has since done the rounds of club members and probably not looking so good these days.

First up, heres the stuff from Chineham auto breakers which is of any interest:

Always thought these suited this colour really well.

And that was it, 2 sierras among late nineties dross.

 

Buff, nice to see one still being used everyday.

What is the top speed of these? Bet it sounds like a hornet in a tin can.

A propa 911, shame this one has begun to decay.

 

I went to london yesterday, and I have never been to search for tat before, and i was shocked at how much i saw in 2 hours, in 2 relatively small areas.

Spotless, nice wheels.

I love how in London you have this and a Bentley parked in the same row.

I havent personally seen a Dedra in years, nice shade of brown.

Not very faded, a good day at the paintshop.

OAP owned Sierra, lovely.

In my experience a lot of souped-up Ford owners neglect to tell DVLA that their vehicle has had a bigger engine fitted. In this case, an RS turbo engine would bump the van up into the higher road tax band...

Went to a house in Popley yesterday which had a rather nice white Escort XR3i in the drive - first vaguely autoshite car I've seen in the 'stoke for ages!

Really? Ive not seen that! Theres 2 in Eastrop which are white. I see quite a few shite cars out and about, mainly Fords. Popley has more than most, as does Oakley.
