bonehead Posted August 15, 2019 Author Posted August 15, 2019 Meant to put this in the ebay bargain topic, sorry
Sealtainn Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 I think with an eBay User ID like that, he may have taken too many blows to the head.
Tamworthbay Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 £30.00, seems reasonable to me, (as long as the tank is full), the rest of the 0s are just a slip I’m sure.
Six-cylinder Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 He does say "BEST AND FINAL OFFERS.PLEASE DON'T TAKE ANY NOTICE OF THE LISTING PRICE AS I HAD TO PUT SOMETHING IN THE BOX TO LIST.” The Moog, BeEP and Vince70 3

It may well be that none of the potential offers will be thought good enough to lead to a sale, so everyone's just wasting their time.....

New POD Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 My view is that you'd put it at a start price which is the minimum you want with no reserve and anything else is a bonus. Still this way it's more of a Dutch auction (I think) My aunt sold her house with sealed bids once and was pleasantly surprised. They had a reserve price. And they got double.
Six-cylinder Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 I can also tell you that he has set an "Automatic Decline" for offers below a level he has set. BeEP 1
Garythesnail Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 So understands pretty well the eBay listing controls. To each his own.
omegod Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 So many memories of our lime green legro estate , ace shaped car !
leanycan Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 Think someone has seen one of these on the recent series on top gear and thought because it has been on national tv it will be worth more. It’s probably not even worth 3k let alone 30k.
