Dan302 Posted October 5, 2022 Author Posted October 5, 2022 Saw this absolute honey at the supermarket today. According to the MOT history its a diesel with about 64000 miles on the clock, I can believe it I looked really smart. AnnoyingPentium, MrGTI6, Split_Pin and 4 others 7
Dan302 Posted October 13, 2022 Author Posted October 13, 2022 MOT passed, the bushes have got no worse from last year. The droplinks aren't knocking yet and the CV boot isn't leaking grease it's only a small split at the thin end apparently although I'll look at getting it sorted soon. Dave_Q, AnnoyingPentium, Dyslexic Viking and 1 other 4
Dan302 Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 Saw this sweet thing at Aldi grogee, Dave_Q, AnnoyingPentium and 7 others 10
Dan302 Posted May 3, 2023 Author Posted May 3, 2023 The Cee'd is going in for oil and filter and new plugs today. I've got an air filter on order which I'll fit. I'm going to get them to check the brake pads and also a driveshaft boot that was mentioned on the MOT. Eyersey1234, RoverFolkUs, Dyslexic Viking and 1 other 4
Dan302 Posted June 15, 2023 Author Posted June 15, 2023 Spotted these 2 cheeky things while out on deliveries today Eyersey1234, Split_Pin and Dave_Q 3
Dan302 Posted August 4, 2023 Author Posted August 4, 2023 Couple of spots from the other day JMotor, Split_Pin, Andyrew and 1 other 4
Dan302 Posted October 18, 2023 Author Posted October 18, 2023 MOT passed the other day with 2 advisories. 1. Child seat fitted so seat belt not checked. 2. Front near side tyre worn on the outside edge. The tyre is being replaced with a budget one later today so all is well with the Cee'd. JMotor, Eyersey1234 and Dyslexic Viking 3
Dan302 Posted October 18, 2023 Author Posted October 18, 2023 At the garage where the tyre is being fitted saw this sweet A112 Dyslexic Viking, Back_For_More, Dave_Q and 3 others 6
Dan302 Posted December 30, 2023 Author Posted December 30, 2023 Saw this left hand drive Nova (Opel Corsa?) at Tesco today Eyersey1234, Dave_Q and Back_For_More 3
Dan302 Posted February 29, 2024 Author Posted February 29, 2024 Forgot to mention there was a bit of a knock going over bumps, assumed it was drop links but ended up being bottom ball joints, both replaced and now feels much better. Andyrew and Eyersey1234 2
Dan302 Posted March 14, 2024 Author Posted March 14, 2024 Saw this stunning beige maxi at a garage near me (there was some Bentley's and stuff but who cares about those?) Apologies for upside down pics they still upload upside down even when I've flipped them FFS! Carl1981, Dyslexic Viking and Eyersey1234 3
Dan302 Posted March 14, 2024 Author Posted March 14, 2024 The drivers side washer jet on the Ceed has always been shite, they aren't adjustable so I stumped for a genuine Kia replacement, really easy to fit too. I've ordered a pattern replacement for the passenger side so will be interesting to compare both parts. Eyersey1234 1

Dan302 Posted April 21, 2024 Author Posted April 21, 2024 Got a blowing exhaust, sound like it's at the front. Hopefully I'll get that looked at this week. Can't really grumble the Ceed rarely costs me money. Split_Pin 1

Luckily Kia/Hyundai had the sense to make it a bolt on part so it's not integral with the cat or silencer section! Keeps the cost down Dan302 1

Keeps the cost down Yeah I'm hoping so, looked on eBay and it's not a mega expensive part (unlike the back box I had done a few years ago!) RoverFolkUs 1
Dan302 Posted August 2, 2024 Author Posted August 2, 2024 Picked up a new car from @cpjitservices yesterday for a bargain price. I wanted something with cheap tax and more mpg's and this fitted the bill perfectly. My plan is to keep the Kia while getting any little jobs done on the Peugeot. It's due an MOT in September so I'll get one done a little earlier incase it highlights anything major (which I doubt it will) clutch is high, which I knew about when purchasing, it doesn't slip and reading online it's seems they are all like that. A new clutch isn't the end of the world though! It will want a new tyre soon so will be treated to a fine Chinese ditch finder! Drives really well overall I'm really happy with it and would happily buy more french chod from him! Eyersey1234, mk2_craig, cpjitservices and 2 others 5

Dan302 Posted August 8, 2024 Author Posted August 8, 2024 Treated the 207 to a quick hoover (quite half assed!) and some interior trim dressing (purely because I got given some) Will wet vac the seats to test out my partner's fancy new Vax. Jobs on the list after the MOT are a new tyre and tracking.
Dan302 Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 MOT passed today, needed headlight adjustment, numberplate lights and some labour, chuffed with that! There's a few advisories but nothing major! Eyersey1234, High Jetter and Andyrew 2 1
Dan302 Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 Tomorrow I'll probably get a tyre replaced and the tracking done Andyrew 1

Did an engine swap on a 207 last year, 1.6 HDI, the clutch had been high for ages but never actually slipped. Found the clutch was worn down to the rivets and the release bearing fell apart once I took the box off the old engine! TLDR; So it's not quite a "TADTS" , it will be worn, but it's not an immediate panic. Dan302 1

Dan302 Posted August 13, 2024 Author Posted August 13, 2024 Got a cheap budget tyre stuck on today, the tracking is very very slightly out but will need a ramp to do it as it's seized, no rush though it's like a mm out! Also wet vacced the seats which was quite satisfying, they weren't bad I just wanted to play with the new spot wash toy! mk2_craig 1
Dan302 Posted August 20, 2024 Author Posted August 20, 2024 Put some new eBay special tailored mats in the 207 as well as a new dipstick and the end broke off the old one (£4.99 delivered so can't grumble!) I've also ordered a pair of number plate lights as one is missing a lense and the other is a bit damaged. They are LED ones and should be a straight swap. ProgRocker 1
