This apparently is a Duck Marine. It is truck based tourist carrier and drives around the Albert Dock in Liverpool. It was really funny to watch this one launch itself at speed, down one of the ramps into the water

Found these in Thornton, Lancashire

Blackpool seems to be a bit of a hotbed of dross, its great.Hate to seem like a typical cloth cap wearing classic car muppet, but the Stag for me please... looks a beauty

That R5 has been on eBay a couple of times recently. Looks lovely but I shall resist!

It can be quite plentiful depending on where and when you go. I went to see if that rather crispy R-reg corolla you all loved on my other thread was still there and, sadly, it has now been removed  I'm back in blackpool in October so I'll see what else I can find..

Nice spots.I really must update the Crypt, there is a Landcrab in Hoghton I need to capture too first though.

You're actually handier for Blackpool than me, you might also want to take a ride to St.Annes via Freckleton, sometimes get classic/choddy motors around that area too... :)

Was in Freck /Warton on Monday night - had a quick look around what used to be Georges garage at Warton but nothing caught my eye - the wife was with me and she disapproves of my shite spotting, especially as we were off out to that new Indian in Warton for a meal. There are a couple of places down Naze lane that are full of prize chod.Theres a classic car show at Hoghton Tower sometime soon, and there is a nursery site down Higher Walton Rd with some old knackers in the sheds - the landcrab is there.... Oh and that eccentrics house up Kittlingborne Brow with the weird Broughton badged A series and a few rotting Spitfires in his garden and an old K reg Regal hand painted in green...

Sounds tasty! I've not been to a 'proper' classic car show for ages, when is it?Yeah, and also my other half isn't taken on the 'tat spottage' idea either...

Posted

Good spottage! The escort III on mis-matched Halfords trims clearly hasn't migrated far, given the 'xCW' registration. Te Hillman Minx on 4-spokes is causing me uncontrollable pant friction. LUSH.

http://www.hoghtontower.co.uk/events.html13th Sept. Its a fairly pleasant place for a day out with a coupe of decent pubs nearby serving beer & food ( Boat yard is good, Hoghton arms expensive, and Old Oak very good but the landlord can be a funny bugger)

Great. As long as you don't end up passing your camera! LOL

NOT a Blandcrab

That's a shame, although must be a rare-ish motor these days.
Posted

I know the chap who owns the Ducks. They need a full service once or twice a week, and the diff oil changing pretty much constantly. One is a proper ex-WWII Dunkirk and back job.

There's a rusty Landcrap outside Mouldsworth Motor Museum. Don't think it's too far gone to save, yet.

http://www.mouldsworthmotormuseum.com/admission.htm ?Anyone near that can take a few snaps please?Or is it this one? :-http://www.mouldsworthmotormuseum.com/i ... _fall1.jpg
It's not the Tony Fall one, it's another one outside with no rear lights. I suspect it'll need a welding marathon but it looks reasonably straight.I'll grab a pic when I go back in a week or two.
