Shite Vectra for sale!!

Brother in law has just been round and he`s selling his Vectra, Its a S plate 1.6, 118K, Saloon shape in dark blue, Tax 10-09, MOT march 10, Little bit scruffy and the tappets rattle a bit but other wise usuall Vectra Shite.

Offers in the region of £400 or pos swap for something small eg micra, fiesta, 205 etc etc.

1600 engine in this class is a hard sell TBH. Not much power, not that economical, and still the higher rate of tax. Ford dumped the 1600 Mondeo as hardly anybody - even the fleets - wanted it.I'd suggest asking £275 and accepting £225-250 is nearer the mark. £400 - not a chance, I'm afraid.

The pre facelift ones are particularly nasty machines, and not in a good autoshitey way... just a clinically uninteresting and not very reliable motor.

The idea of a 1.6 Vectra fills me with dread, I imagine we'll all be going 'ZOMG 1.6 VECTRA!!!' in 15 years though. Are the facelifted ones much better then?

I totaly agree, i really dont think id have one given tbh and top gear will be dropping pianos on them in 20 years time

No again. £80 tops, it's scrap prices only with no MOT.£275 ish is a better price for the Vectra for sale in this thread, it'd probably fetch that on eBay or other forums.

A mate of mine still has 1.6 Vectra facelift with a "fuel-saver" device on it, he never was too bright though.

I much prefer Cavs to Vectras.I can see them becoming a rarity in the future, as most are now worthless.In years to come we will be shouting 'OMGZ PRE FACELIFT VECTRA' in the spotted threads, haha/
