Aren't those ecotech engines a bit of a liability?

Nope.  Look after it and it will go on forever.  (may need the odd ICV clean-out/ cam sensor replacement)  8)

Been there and done it JM and it was no bother at all but Finnish is utterly incomprehensible so a friendly translator is a must. And it's bleeding miles and miles to drive from one place to another there even though it never looks far on a map.

I bought my '59 Imperial in Rovaniemi, when I was there on a business trip. It's only 1600 miles from there to where I lived in Belgium at the time. So another 500 from there to here can't hurt.

I'd love to take another trip there as there people are great. Utterly mental but great.

A GP100 engine would double your capabilities and all the ladies would find whoever is driving it irrisistable. Not sure where they would sit though.

Is it wrong to want this? I am curious as to what engine can be fitted in place of the suzi 50.

Eddy, we seem to have a frighteningly similar taste in cars. I wonder whether this extends to Whiskeys. I suggest some experimentation is in order. Solely for scientific reasons, I must stress.

Fill a bleedin furrinna in on British number plate obsession, please.

Does this cost more than 7.46 + VAT at Halfords?

For those too young to know what a 'blue rinse' was, I can assure you that these cars were sold new to an entire army of respectable old ladies who put max 3k miles per annum on these things.

My great aunt Hilda (who was I am told quite hot under the tail in her younger days - to the extent that when her husband failed to give her enough attention she moved in a gentleman she knew for extra duties) probably typified this breed in a world of thermos flasks and county cricket.

Come to think of it though....she had a Triumph 1300.

that will go well out of "our" budgets, just wait and see ;-)  it was a small run built as the modern successor to the Peel P50 (replicas sell for £20,000 upwards, dont mention the real ones) friend of mine had one a few years ago, didnt run and i think he got 6k...

I'm having one of those days where I question the sanity of owning 4 old cars and wonder whether it's just worth packing it all in and saving up a bit to buy something 'new' - i.e. from this millennium, at least. Everyone locally says buy Japanese but not much inspires. However, I think these are a bit of allright, except for the mandatory auto box - I feel old enough already, as it is.......

Oh, and this is from the cheaper end of the price scale but that's how things are over here.
