Jim Bergerac
This looks like a waste of Triumph Herald parts to me Registered as a Triumph Harold by the details given on Ebay, this means OMGDVLABUMRAPE and no end of type approval issues as far as I know. At least it is not presently overpriced, I suppose. Starting bid:£0.
gordonbennet
Wasn't this to do with some stupid legislation to show less than the vehicles actual top speed, supposedly stop people going too fast? My '86 Camaro speedo only went up to 85mph, i got it round to something like 30mph on the second lap once, quite an amusing run cos i had the T roofs off and me golden retrievers ears were flapping out the top. Bloody things you did when you were young(er and even dafter). anonymous user, Disco Fever, brickwall and 1 other
brickwall
Few of the older cars in Kuwait had the old 85mph speedo. the newer cars had a buzzer in them that went off when you went past 70mph.

I had a Chrysler Cordoba that had one of those buzzers..........after repeated sallies "round the clock" one day the buzzer went berserk, and expired with a sound akin to a muffled explosion in a cuckoo clock factory......... HereHareHere
Don't think I've ever seen a Rover koop in that colour. Even if the head-gasket doggy howls loud and long at the moon it still looks ace for that money with a full ticket. Junkman
