eBay tat volume 3.

To be fair (because of the scene tax and rarity) it's probably actually worth the asking price. The trouble is it'll almost certainly get bought by one of the 'roof rack and rust' twats and get ruined.

A local indie garage used to run one of those MK2 vans a few years back - was absolutely immaculate, too.

Looks like pretty much anyone else at all could do better than the current guy so hopefully it will find a new owner. It looks like a total shitbox to me. He reckons he's been offered 750 by a 'VW specialist', sounds like bilge to me but who knows.

Perhaps he runs some really shit topless car wash fully of skanky birds and he meant booby work.

Is this for sale anywhere?

Apologies for monging up that post

9500 miles from new Laurel, what's the betting TEH_DOKTOR has this up for sale on ebay in a few weeks.

Who is this Doctor chap I keep hearing about? Any links to any of his listings? I'm guessing he's a bit like 4 Star Classics?

I know a chap who runs a Rio like that as a minicab. It was DIRT cheap, and so far hasn't gone wrong at all. We have a KIA dealer here in town, and I bagged him 10 oil filters for a score from them. The car ain't fancy, but it's a means to an end. When a mate and I owned a taxi firm, some of our guys were paying 4, 5 and even 6 hundred quid a month for their cars (Mercs mainly), plus their depot rent. Madness.

'This car was seized by HM customs in Dover then sold to a trader in UK where I bought it, 2 years ago. So there's little history with it, but I have bills since I've owned it.The spare wheel is in the boot as the traffickers created a secret compartment under the car where the spare would have been! I've never bothered looking in it, or trying to remove it as it doesn't affect the use of the vehicle. If you do find any contraband in it, you can keep it!'

You could (not) find out by driving past Kerry Katona's house full tilt over some speed bumps after you'd let the tyres down.
