That SD1 looks teh sex but has plenty of wob in places. Seller also has 4 nos doors and inner and outer wings for sale in another listing which isn't a good sign.

The wob in my SD1 is honest wob as you can see it through the paint. Have you seen that one in the metal?

There seems to be loads of tempting mega cheap silver shadows around lately .

This Belmont 'Merit' looks absolutely mega. Check the radio in it!

My mate had a job with Philips in car division once trying to persuade dealers to get their customers to upgrade the stereos on ordering the car.  He had a Belmont one week to go round the Voxall dealers a 205 GTi for pugs and something so unremarkable I've completely forgotten what else.  I loved getting a lift on the 205 weeks, despite his driving skillz* taking us straight off the road and into a field.

I think he had an escort some weeks or that might have been his own car, damn it's bugging me now :(

That Belmont is a honey, original wheel trims n all :)

How much do you have to hate yourself to buy a new car with the most miserable radio available, no cig lighter and the decadent option of an analogue clock deleted?!  At least it has the MEGABRILL OHC engine- I'm sure it would have had the 1124(?) OHV jobbie if it was still available in 1990.

I loved the Astra and Belmot heater/blower vents as they matched the plastic grill

1972 meets 1992

The front isn't any better. It sort of looks like he crashed into a Nova with a 'Kingdom' bodykit on it, then fibreglassed over the rear window

I don't know what's going on with the paint here, but I absolutely categorically can confirm it isn't bird crap. Any self respecting seagull would fly upside down over this car, it's not worth shitting on.
