The fact it’s registered as a 65 rover but it’s obviously a series 3 are my main concerns

Heinz 57!  Certainly a Series III dash, grille and the wings look Series III, although I seem to recall late Series IIas also had the headlights in the wings.   Amusing that they only state that the wrong steering wheel is fitted.

Ding dong!

Yeah dates don't tie up, ad claims made in 1981!

Also, per DVLA it should be red!

Mk2 Capri with Rover V8 power "starts stops runs and drives", no MOT but has been "pre-tested", wonder what happened to the grille?

I love the period number plates on that! fitted long before anyone gave a crap about "having silver on black plates" :)

although it is sad to think that you know when that ends up getting restored, the plates will probably be getting binned off for just that, some pair of awful £20 silver on black plates in completely the wrong font and font size

They state its a 2 1/4 'turbo' diesel, (not turbo obviously) and it has the hand throttle quadrant on the bulkhead as late series 3 diesels should plus the extra switch panel set in the middle of the dash. That's correct for the 1981 date.

Certainly an odd one. Maybe they've stuck the rear tub and bumper off an old one and just not bothered to remove the plates?

"Need painting all prepared" Always wonder in these cases why they don't complete the easy* job? Have they just got a quote for the paint?

All prepared for paint if you're going roller paint it with dulux exterior wall paint.

Last MOT expired Jan 2018 so wonder what state the hydraulics and electrics are in.  Has all the making of a money pit.

Question is, would you keep the sticker or not???

I think you'd have to get rid just in case someone decides to cave in your irreplaceable* glass...

Yup. Every chance someone is going to stuff the window thanks to the Jim'll sticker. Shame in a way as period stickers are great.
