Not quite shite-spec, but certainly the right colour..

Torino 500 was second trim level by 1971.   Little old lady from Sacramento car apparently (aren't they all....)

Buy it quick before some "surf" cock bleaches it.

Soz, like, but these looks bloody awful imho. The sort of thing some 23 year old Sunday pub team football player would own, c/w a 'shopping list down' the doors.

That is the best £749 you're ever going to spend.

Was wondering just how someone could be so awful at taking photographs, but it seems his rabbit has got the camera.

Somehow, that doesn't seem a lot of dough. I do like a Panhandle.

That black A40 Devon is ace as well. DNP!!

He reckons that Metro VP has got Aircon! Can that be right?

It could be.  There was a surprisingly large range of options for the Metro right from the start.

This brochure from about 1981 offers air con, electric windows and cruise control.  Pretty advanced stuff for an early 80s small car.

Interesting reading about the options available for the mk1 Metro. Occasionally mk1’s appear on Facebook on spotted threads, and I tire of the millennials and their ill-founded opinions that mk1 Metros are all shit and no one ever liked them.

Having owned one years ago (mustard yellow, early 81 Mini Metro for maximum points), I have to admit to enjoying owning it. Less rusty than my old Mk1 Golf, handled like it was on rails, good on fuel, and much nicer to drive than a Mini of the same era. Oh, and they sold by the masses when released.

Justification over.
