A few inaccuracies here. This doesn't have the BMC C series engine as in the MGC - but an Australian designed development of it. And not needing a MoT...I think not. I owned one of these in the 1980's - was well-finished but not particularly comfortable - you felt like you were sitting on it rather than in it. But the engine oh dear - very reluctant to rev and really a bit of a plodder with poor mpg. Handled nicely but all in all not very satisfying to own. A real curiosity.

This is what they should have made...Rover V8 engine and Wolseley trimming. Was apparently popular at Longbridge giving the chassis the go it needed. Fun to make a replica.

When I said holy grail I meant it in the sense of unlikely to ever appear so I don't have to buy it! That is deeply lovely though and very tempting, it has the best wheel trims. No one man needs three XM estates at the same though do they?

This moped is most uninteresting, but the description of how it got to be tuned* and:

 

1) end up slower than stock then

2) fucked

 

is comedy gold. What is it to be young and clueless :D

Bike was a great runner until the piston rings went. Replaced full kit with a 70cc big bore cylinder kit then crank bearings went. Upgraded crank to a racing crank then bought a 50cc racing kit in. Needed new rollers so bought 2 sets but bike only reaches about 20/25 mph. Also got brand new starter motor and Kevlar belt. This ped comes with 3 exhausts. Stock, pedmoto series 1 and a endy pipe. Putting the ped Moro exhaust on results in the moped spitting flames. This bike has had a custom paint job with a matte blue finish and 1 part of the panel in metallic same colour as the bike. Looking for £250. Cheap ped and cheap fix. Located Bradford..
