Wait. It's like a cross between a reliant kitten, a morris 1000, and a Drop snoop firenza, with lotus sunbeam rear hatch/window thrown in for bad measure.

 

I see NOTHING that looks remotely FORD or Mini in it at all.

I'd say the c pillar looks mk3/4 escort

I think it's because every time a designer flicks their pen on a facelift they infact succeed in making it uglier and there's been a few since this one was made so it's tricking you into thinking these are handsome

 

The Generation 1 BINI's are excellent whilst they suffered metro turbo style malidies like shit gearbox design, and squeaky trim, and crap electrics (in the form of E-PAS), are actually well built, easy to work on, and don't rust. Add the brilliant driving seat adjustment, the great handling, and the decent engine. Only downside for me is the lack of a spare wheel. Or rather, the lack of somewhere for the spare wheel. I'd go for a post 2004 ONE (with later gettrag box) and pay for a 125 BHP "recalibration" of the ecu.

 

As you say, all that comes after 2006 is SHITE and not in a good autoshite way.

I'm disgusted with myself.

 

I'm finding BINI's like this ever more agreeable.

 

BUT that only extends to untwatted base models with paintwork all the same colour and hubcaps.

 

I still have my standards (just)

 

 

 

It might have BASE trim and steel wheelz, but what the fuck is wrong with the roof ?

Welcome to a very unique vehicle indeed, Now the the story is that I brought this homemade Nissan from a nice guy down in chit-ester who runs a business called Houghes military vehicles about 3 months ago, however the guy even before him brought this Nissan as a project and unfortunately died half way though the homemade restoration to use for rabbit shooting and collecting on his farm.

A long long time ago we went on a family holiday to the Republic of Ireland. T'was wonderful. We went over on the ferry.

 

SnrF1F's vehicle at this time was a Senator 3.0 24v ('93) in dark blue. It was almost certainly the only one in the entire country.

 

This was wonderful until it broke down going over a mountain.

 

Because a part had to be flown in from Engerland, even flagged as an ERMERGHERD emergency, it took a few days, and we ended up in a brand new (at the time) Ford Mondeo 1.6 LX saloon.

 

YOU CANNOT IMAGINE THE DISAPPOINT.
