Do they rot that badly? I had a few P10 Primeras when they were plentiful, they all had a bit of sill crispiness but the rest of the bodywork and underneath were ok.

 

My Dad's 1994 2.0 SGT was solid apart from bubbling rear sill.  Went to the crusher like that last year as it was worthless and ticket out

Well, at least it's not a Lister two cylinder diesel, which is the usual choice of motive power for American cars in the UK.

A 351W with box should be fairly easy to source, though and flogging that Rover V8 might yield more than the FoMoCo mill costs.

Worth looking at, see when the cambelt was last done too. 

 

Cam chain isn't it on a P10 Primera?

 

No need to change it, probably just the tensioner if it's getting rattly

Engine is a Single cylinder Lambardini Deisel which runs exceptionally well and produces a  whopping 2 horsepower(2cv)

 

Obviously someone who has a clear understanding of the old French taxation system.

A 350cc diesel would indeed be a 2CV, but in fine fettle should produce at least 3 hp, if not 3 1/2.

If my memories of my old Aixam brochures serve, the old Lombardini 325cc diesel made about 5.5 bhp.  I would imagine the 350cc version may put out as much as 6.
