eBay tat volume 3.

Looks a nice clean car located in Ely Cambridgeshire (too far for me).  It's a CL model so I think that's abit rarer, touch up paint pack and hand books suggest a decent owner, 12 months MOT no reserve starting at £100.  Being a two door worth storing away until the 2020's then sell it for the price of a semi in East Grinstead.

The sellers other items listed appear to be cars that he's growing in the garden:

This is cheap.  Don't know how easy it'd be to find a replacement driver's door though.

I bet the chap in New Buckenham (Castle Garage) has a few tucked away.

The Rover seller has a couple more Farm Find Rovers listed plus this, perfect for shite fest 2015!

Does anyone else have their eye on this? I can feel my bidding finger itching in a big way, but don't want to battle another Shiter for it.

No idea how I'd actually get it from Surrey either, but hey...

Call me picky, but for a grand, I'd want the wing-mirror to match the rest of the car

Posted

the mayfairs like the vanden plas got a brushed stainless steel cover on the wing mirrors as standard, as well as deep velour seat trim.

Is that a Ford I4? Like what you get in a bug-eye scorpio????

Looks a great bus this, sadly theyve lost the keys though so it won't start (needs a transponder key)

From my limited experience I don't think it's the VM, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly...

VM don't make petrol engines, keep up at the back

Yep, if you click through a few links on the archived LDV website, you can download a 2004 Convoy brochure. Petrol under 'alternative fuel engine': http://web.archive.org/web/20041009201509/http://www.ldv.com/main_site/index.htm

I bet that was a giffer's pride and joy, judging by the Flying A and the other adornments. Isn't someone looking for a Sherpa of this era for the engine? Ad sez another one available for spares.
