eBay tat volume 3.

I imagine the reserve is £SILLY or possibly even £SAWYOUCOMING and likely to be saltier than the upper-middle class organic shallow fried (in extra virgin rapeseed oil) vegetable thins sold by the pretentious, overbearing, feckless traders (Tarquin and Ariadne, naturally) who are supported by their parents pockets which are deeper than the Mariana Trench and therefore capable of sustaining the whims of their precious little darlings.

Personally, I'd like to turn it into a camper van and/or mobile Tetanus Vaccination Booth.

This looks a barg considering what some alan sugar wannabes put these up for.

£1495, long mot and the lad looks like he has spent a fair few bob sorting it.

Plus is there a prettier 80's car????

I'm becoming vexed just reading it the second time around!

If he wants to auction it, then why not just put it into an auction.

Verdict: chancer.

Sorry, but I can't imagine wanting a car enough to engage with such an arrogant tosser. He's basically telling prospective buyers that to be in with a chance of getting it, they're going to have to grovel at his feet whilst throwing wads of cash to him.

I think this calls for a collective response on the lines of "£150 and I'll take it off your hands, mate"

I'm with pompei. 500 emails offering him under £300 will either kill him or cure him

Around 2005, I visited a 'classic car' dealer in the South Birmingham area to check out a Suzuki Cappuccino; it was a long drive up from Brighton to check out a car for sale, which I would have thought helped establish my credentials as a 'serious buyer'. However, the charming fellow would not let me test drive the car to check it out properly unless I 'agreed to buy it in advance' of the drive. Astonished, I got back into my car, without comment, and returned immediately to Brighton. The dealer in question is no longer in business, but continued to trade overpriced average looking examples for a few years later.
