^^^ Just make sure there's some of the budget left over for waxoyl / dinitrol.  When I say 'some', lots might be more accurate ;-)

ETA

it's a lovely-looking car & seems in really good nick, with some anti-rust stuff already having been applied.  DO IT!

The dynamo is as big as the engine in that Munga!

I wonder how similar these two engines are; are they derived from a DKW original from the 1930s?

I would like a two stroke one day. Could be the perfect counterpoint to the Insight.

High tech v. minimal tech.

I loved my driving job I had at Royal Mail a few years ago. Now I can re-live the happy days of ragging these senseless from Whitby-Pickering-Malton-Pickering-Whitby at 6am on deserted A roads.

Even has the shiny residue where the decals were! This is for sale for £3k BIN which is obviously big money for a 2009 Combo with 80000 miles but it was first registered over here in June, so how much did it take to buy, ship and certify here? A lot more than that, I guess.

Only a bag more, mind, and you could have this sweet Velox:

The Munga has the radio car dynamo. For everyday practicality, you better swap it for a regular one, or an alternator.

The DKW and Wartburg engines are based on the same basic design, but have distinct differences.

They are interchangeable though.

Do not underestimate two-stroke technology.
