For the last ten years the car has been used for transporting guide dogs. The tow bar and roof rack have never been used during this period.

Glad to hear it - that would be a very cruel way to transport a guide dog.

I don't hate that BMW it looks like someone actually made a bit of an effort with it. Plus with that camo if you parked it in the north sea you'd never be able to see it.

Anyway, this 924 looks nice for about a grand. This seems to have the 944's 2.5 donk in it. Was that engine fitted to the S trim on these ? I was always under the assumption these all came with the 2.0 engine and anything else had been a result of someone in a shed with a box of hammers.

That ‘rare’ E36 kustum is described as Urban Camo but it puts me in mind of the krazy colour schemes the Navy tried out back in the day. GR11 for escorting North Atlantic convoys.

Who said that I do?

Who said that I do?

No one. I said I don't hate it because I don't hate it.

Just emailed the seller about going to look at this over the weekend. Could be the worst decision ever. 924 with electrical grumbles. Hmm.

WCPGW?

That dull BMW is cheered up hugely by the dazzle-camouflage paint job. Needs crazy velour interior to complement the paint though.

I wonder if the "knob in a beemer" syndrome wouldn't have happened if BMWs had only been sold in bright paintbox colours?

Porsche 924S is '86 - 88 only, 924 body with 8 valve 944 engine. Best combination too IMHO.

The seller of the Carlton http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4184b4defa is a breakers a few miles from me.  Clearly into cars himself in a big way, most of his stuff is broken, but some is so hilariously sh!te, he sells, as is.  Have a look on his ebay site for the Cavalier he's just brought in.

me likey, a pinto powered mk2 granada is well up my want list. I don't think £1750 is too salty either it looks well tidy.

I should imagine a 2.0 manual Granada would be an overpowered ,over steering accident waiting to happen ,especially if you were 16 driving your Dad's company car whilst he was on holiday. Still drive home after flattening a lampost though, probably*

( Luckily my Dad's boss thought it was funny, got it repaired before he came home and let me work it off waiting at his garden parties and crewing his boat at Henley Regatta)
