I still maintain these have a class that whispers you have money, rather than shouting it out.

I was following a 280 version of this last month on the way to work, the driver wasn't hanging about which was lovely to see.

 

When he overtook some modern hatchback I could see them next to each other, the massive Merc I remember as a kid looked very petite and delicate.  A bit like '60s cars looked with their elegant narrow screen pillars and slim bumpers!

Hang on, didn't those headlights only come on 280 SE 3.5s? My (brown!) 280SE just had the big glass lenses. JUNKMAN?
