I really need a new set of 285 45 ZR 18 tyres for a friend who runs a garage apperently real fucker to get hold of. Need new ones not part worn

Pirelli p zero asimetrico seem to be only size but unobtainable. Any help please? Believe car 1996 ISH.

I can't find any tyres in that size and in stock googling around - which is unsurprising and no doubt you've tried!

Of course not all tyres will be in production, but there are some that are close to what could be used without loosing speedo inaccuracy or affecting the vehicle too much.

That's a really odd size, and in past experience Pirelli only runs off odd sizes like this in batches, so can be on back order for months, and sometimes never arrive. I'd be going down to 40 profile, or even 35 which are much more common. What car is it?

My 92 Corvette ran 275 40 17's, older models tend to be smaller diameter, newer ones lower profile. I assumed X5 etc

You can buy* some Y rated on ATS euromaster (drive slower and invalidate insurance?). Just spend £1600 odd quid only for a call on Monday saying computer says no and 'refund in 7 working days M9' etc...
