That's what I thought, I can't believe fuel economy would be that high under those circumstances

What were the revs doing at 70mph in third? The reading probably wasn't out of the ball park but not really something you can test long distance under those circumstances!

Just over 4000 rpm.

Yes it needed it, it was smoking really badly before the turbo hose got changed

Just got in from a 250 odd mile round trip into Cheshire and Derbyshire, thought I'd give it a run out to clear it out a bit before the MOT on Wednesday

Just heard them call out headlamp alignment is out, one is too high and the other too low.

Nothing recorded on the MOT database, all they mentioned to me was part of the exhaust had deteriorated a bit, the heat shield near the exhaust was loose, EML on and the bonnet open warning, the EML and bonnet I knew about anyway.

This happened this morning, not a proper mileometer moment as such but marks 10000 miles since purchase

I took the Focus up Staxton Hill on the way back from Whitby earlier on to see how it coped compared to the Fiesta, whereas the Fiesta struggled to maintain 3rd gear the Focus was quite happy going up in 4th, just shows how much more powerful it is than the Fiesta was.

My OH's corsa now through another MOT, failed on a leaking shock absorber so 2 new ones fitted. 

Focus running fine, had a run up to.Scarborough today.

Car manufacturers often tweak the trip computer to show a higher mpg than is actually being achieved. Trip computer accuracy is not a legal requirement, Speedo accuracy  & odometer accuracy are.

It's done over 500 miles this weekend, I think the run has done it some good, though I do quite a few long journeys. In nearly 9 months with me it's done about as many miles as it did in the previous 2 years.

Came back to the car earlier on to find this dragonfly on the wiper, wonder why it seemed to like it on there as it didn't seem to want to move.

Well it appears to have done the usual Mk2 Focus trick with the dashboard. No lights on that shouldn't be or weren't already but all the gauges have started overreading. Any ideas on how to fix it?

I've reset the gauges and it seems to be working OK now, the rev counter is reading a bit high still but I can live with that
