Thanks, this car has keyless start so presumably I just switch the ignition on

A mobile mechanic is coming to fit the new battery this morning, £175 fitted which I don't think is too bad

New battery fitted but turns out the starter motor is fucking fucked m8 as well, so a mobile mechanic booked to come tomorrow

Eccles is now mended and running again, the mechanic rang me as he was concerned he was going to break a bolt getting the starter motor off which may have meant recovery to a garage, I said to him to try anyway, although one did break he managed to sort it out

I had the car insurance renewal through yesterday, it had gone up by nearly 50%. Had a look round online and got an acceptable quote....

Another mileometer moment today. Eccles has started coming up with a TPMS sensor  message which I guess is a dodgy sensor and the airbag light comes on intermittently which could be anything, but will need looking at

We've just come back from.a week in Portugal, saw all sorts of old chod including a pre facelift Mk1 Focus, Citroen AX 10RE, Mk1 Puntos, Mk1 and Mk2 Clios, Mk2 Golf and a Fiat 124. Presumably the climate means cars don't rust as badly as in the UK

Had a mobile mechanic over today to do the tyre pressure sensors, all 4 now changed. The airbag light turns out to be something to do with the passenger curtain airbag, so that will need looking at before the MOT

Eccles MOT is booked for 28th July. He is getting another long journey in about a week, we are going down to Weston Super Mare for a few days

Eccles is in Somerset for a few days, we are staying near Weston super Mare. Came across a former Ford main dealers at Sandford called Humphry Motor Company, they still have 90s style Ford branding minus the Ford badges, not ofen that is seen nowadays.

Eccles got hit while parked in Weston Super Mare yesterday, we were parked within the lines of a bay and a useless cunt in a Mercedes drove straight into him, then refused to give his details saying its only a scrape. Not the point you fuckwit you damaged it you pay for it. I've got the twats reg and have reported him to the police for failing to provide details,I hope he gets a bollocking for it. Its very tempting to name and shame him to be honest.

To be honest if there had been a cashpoint nearby I'd have frogmarched the twat to it and said you either give me your details or at least £100 cash now to cover this  otherwise I report you for failing to give your details.
