Top chod!

That's what I thought

Henry enjoyed his run into Derbyshire this weekend, over 200 miles covered including some nice twisty B roads.

All being well Henry should be having a ride down to the railway centre at Didcot on Sunday, a round trip of about 400 miles

Didcot been put back a couple of weeks as I'm working Sunday now 😭

203000 miles reached tonight. It says a lot about how good the Mk2 design is and how well they are screwed together that a 13 year old car with this mileage still drives nicely and has no squeaks, rattles etc.

Saw another piece of chod earlier, sorry no photo as I was driving, but it was a camper van with a Land Rover front panel, the driver sat above the front wheels.

Heading home from Didcot, been a nice day at the Great Western Society museum there. Henry has so far done just over 250 miles since 6.30 this morning.

. Just got home. 430 miles covered today which I am sure is the most I have done in one day.

Also on the run back Henry clicked over 203833, not a particularly significant mileage but it does mark 30k since purchase

Saturday marks 2 years since Henry was purchased. Where does the time go?  I worked out earlier (fairly roughly admittedly) he has cost an average of £317 a month since purchase. Not bad for a car of his age and mileage and about what the finance payments alone would be on the new equivalent.

£317 a month! I’m assuming that’s including diesel, tax and insurance?

Just been giving Henry a much needed wash, he's not spotless but better than before.

Saturday marked 32k miles since purchase of Henry. Also according to the DVLA Minnie my old Fiesta has been put through another MOT though she still shows as SORN at the moment, hopefully she will be back on the road soon

Yesterday I noticed what sounded like the n/s/f brake pad rubbing while Henry was cold though after a short distance it seemed to stop. Any ideas as to what could cause it?

I wondered if the caliper was sticking a bit or it could be rust on the disc
