Barn storage opportunity in Essex

The end section of barn that I have been shared renting for a few years with a mate is now available.

 

There is enough room for 3 1/2 to 4 cars, depending on size. The barn is open at the front but provides decent and pretty secure parking/storage.

 

There is no lighting or power but I have never found that to be a major issue. It is primarily for storage but minor fettling is okay but no welding or painting as there is hay/straw around at the other end of the barn and it's too dusty for painting anyhow.

 

Faberge Greggs has his Fiat there now and has taken over from me and the mate of a mate has the remains of a Daf/Volvo there but that will need to be moved.

 

I am retiring soon and my car numbers are now limited (ha) and may be more limited on the day. Mate will also be rationalising very, very shortly as well, hence this shout out which needs to be sorted pretty quickly tbh.

 

Rent is only £25 pcm and tbh is a bloody billy bargain compared to what I pay for my lock up plus it is uber peaceful there unlike where my lock up is.

 

Location: on a farm about 6 miles from Chelmsford. Normal office hours re: usual access but weekends are also available for full access with no real issue. Gate to the farm can be locked sometimes but the farmhouse is only a short stroll away and I tell the farm people a few days in advance if anything is coming or going as they sometimes park vans/trucks across the front of the barn section.

 

Payment is easiest via regular paypal to the farm folk. 

 

If genuinely, genuinely interested then please PM myself and Faberge Greggs and I am sure an agreement can be forthcoming.

 

It goes without saying that payment will need to be made on the dot. Just saying mind

Wow. If only this was nearer! I have the right number of cars and can easily afford £25. Sadly; too far away. I never ever venture down that area as much as I used to.

Just to clarify, it's £50 pcm for a space big enough for 4 (smoll) cars. I've got half of it so the other half is available for £25. I only have my teeny tiny Fiat there though so you might be able to take over a bit more if you wanted.. 

 

It's covered, and with walls on 3 sides, open on one side, so nice and airy but dry. 

 

You'll be in fine company: some VW camper trash, an A40, a Rover R8 and of course the Fiat x1/9...

I'm interested in this. Is the space for 4 short cars side by side, or could a big one on a trailer fit in?

Yep, got Bramz 7's PM, looks like it's a go.

 

I have sent a text to my mate to let him know and have asked him to contact the owner of the Volvo/Daf so it can be relocated. 

 

I said to Bramz7 that it would perhaps make sense to PP his share to you Jack, then you can PP to the farm people, does that sound ok.

It is but I used to go to Colchester all the time to see my brother, so am well used to the trip.

 

I used to pay £100 pcm for the Tipo storage in Bournemouth!

Bloody hell man. I could do with storage but it just encourages me to hoard.... ive saidd before — I fell into a major rut and had a meltdown with 91 cars before when I was in Westbury....i dont know how that happened...
