keef Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Be great to see this one over on http://www.flickr.com/groups/ad016/
hammy Posted March 7, 2010 Author Posted March 7, 2010 Is that an Arna? I'm sure I can see the outline where the Alfa trim has dropped off. Yes it was an Alfa Arna, 5 speed Turbo if you believe the badge on the back! It looked pretty rough.
hammy Posted March 7, 2010 Author Posted March 7, 2010 Solid gold spottings there Yellow Sunny Van for me please.I wonder if there are any of those old 'Revopak' S&D refuse collectors left from the 70s?I was watching a repeat of 'Salvage Squad' the other night, they restored the only surviving narrow SWB Revopak built for one of the Islands (IOW I think). Don't see many of them about now as I guess S&D spares have long dried up. There was one in Biggleswade for many years and the bloke who owned it was an ex S&D engineer. My dad worked for S&D up until they closed the Letchworth factory, mostly on rebuilding stuff under warranty or that had serious accident damage.
Milford Cubicle Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 This made me lol. I've got a CUMMINS!Cummings is quite a common name in the north of Scotland.
pogweasel Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Hmm. Pretty much what I wanted to build when I was 18.....
brammy777 Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Wow, yet more great shots. The egg poachers look terrible, I wonder why they decided to put them on?
hammy Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 Gold shItal spotted this week in Oxford. Moggy Minor 1000 - belonged to my great aunt who at 93 can no longer drive, since the death of her brother it had been laid up in a garage in Tewkesbury and off the road for a year. I MOT'd it a few weeks ago and recently sold it on. Pretty tidy and solid car all round, only 28000 on the clock from new, not bad for a 40 year old motor.
barrett Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Crikey, the level of Win on this thread must be approaching what, 97, 98%?Can't even pick a favourite, though that red Maz is pretty hot, although I think the Toyota twin cab thingy beats it for sheer mentalness**not a word
mk2_craig Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Stayed in Bugibba again, but visits around the Island and to Gozo with Mk2_Craig in tow. I went absolutely batshit when we first clocked this thing after a coupla beers in the late evening. 'CHROME BUMPER MK1 PONY ON DELOREAN RIMS, JESUS TAPDANCING CHRIST'
Captain Mainwaring Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 This made me lol. I've got a CUMMINS!Cummings is quite a common name in the north of Scotland. What's that got to do with owt? I was laughing at how he felt the need to advertise the fact his truck has a Cummins engine.
