I'm lichen it already. I dropped my good phone in the toilet, this one doesn't take macro shots. There's lichen on the window seal if you can't see that and I did a pun.

It's not the Mondeo but it's a hint.

Aye, looks just like the warning triangle mounted in the boot of the B5 Audi A4 I used to have.

The sort of details you remember about past cars!

A 4 door version of a more popular 5 or 3 door variant?

A Jetta or Vento

Love songs belonging to 60 and 70. Blue is a premium colour for interior lighting.54c98493bb4e3006c9c7193953ff89bf.jpg3d946eade23bedfd2fb8f18210b2fd47.jpg82e3c1003f60b01dedae3fa7c7cdbae1.jpg

Blue interior lighting, that warning triangle in the boot.

Definitely VAG. I'd say on the B5 platform too.

And a sport version from seeing the optic trim around the heater controls.

Judging by the style of the floormat, I'd say some sort of VAG contrivance.

Pre-PD Bora Sport.

What do I win?

Edit: looked again at first photo.

Pre-PD Passat Sport?

Pre-PD Bora 'S', no port. It does have some premium*-seeming trim including pop out cup holders that might have been worth a lot to a MK4 Golf licker 8 years ago. Later additions?

Oh God, you've probably bought an older version of my diesel Borat. I actually shelled out 28 quid to put in a VW Beta CD-player, which mine didn't have originally. Maybe should have gone for the cupholder thing as well.

Question is, which output? 90 or 115?

Mine is supposed to be 100hp, but it doesn't go like one....

90bhp and it feels like a slug compared to my Fabia 100 PD.

I have my reasons for choosing the slower one - I've seen a number of 110s with cylinder head issues.

There are some reasonable remapped ECUs out there which won't break the bank....or the cylinder head. I found a fella who would tune for greater mpg, and overall it seemed to work, especially around town.

Im probably the only man in the world that is disappointed that it wasnt the modern Mondeo.

EXECUTIVE THREE BOX.

I think these are handsome cars whereas the Mk4 Golf looks quite dumpy, the Bora is like a German HH-R saloon.

It has been dosed with veg oil, hopefully it'll be alright and I won't be chasing air leaks. It seems quite sluggish already but a 20th century 90bhp diesel in a heavyish car is never going to be quick.
