nigel bickle Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Here's a small question for the massive out there. My Zuk pickup ( yup one of those 80s Polish boxy things) really needs new plugs, but rather than import a set of old tractor nonsense I'd rather fit some western NGK alternates - or similar. Might anyone know, or can cross reference, an equivalent- please? Pretty please............
Parky Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 I think this might be one for Sam Glover! Sorry couldn't be more helpful than that Nigel. Incidentally I saw a Zuk two weeks ago in traffic on the A13. Beige and crusty - anyone know who that could have been?
DodgeRover Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Do you have any reference part numbers for the correct ones?
nigel bickle Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Good idea, that! F75S SUPER - from an indistinguishable suppliers!
Sigmund Fraud Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Don't those vans have a low-compression version of the Fiat-based OHV engine that eventually found its way into the Polonez ? If so, would it make sense to try a set of Polonez plugs and go from there ? Tamworthbay 1
nigel bickle Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 No sadly. It's what I originally expected when I bought it ( having a large pile of FIAT 1500 bits) but it's a he Warsawza engine. Much larger, physically.
Sigmund Fraud Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Good idea, that! F75S SUPER - from an indistinguishable suppliers! They're probably ISKRA, Poland's premium* spark plug manufacturer. There's a very helpful cross-reference page on their website !
Sam Glover Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Dunno, actually, as I've never owned a petrol Żuk and my Warszawa-engined Tarpan came with Soviet-era Russian spark plugs, which are immortal. There's a pretty good chance it'll take NGK BP6ES, though – just like practically everything else built east of Warsaw. Tamworthbay 1
nigel bickle Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Brill- thanks. That's epic... But Iskra?
C1am Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 The code matches: http://www.swiece-zaplonowe.pl/swiece-iskrowe/25703-iskra-super-f75s.html
Sam Glover Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Sorry, I'd missed the Iskra F75S thing. So according to this... www.sparkplug-crossreference.com/convert/iskra/F75S ...the stumpier NGK B6HS is your boy. Stanky, nigel bickle, cort1977 and 2 others 5
nigel bickle Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Thanks chaps- as good as ever A set of NGK B6HS will now be purchased. Much appreciated
cort1977 Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 I make that 1h37m to find an authoritative answer. This place is pretty cool really. eddyramrod, myglaren, Tamworthbay and 2 others 5

LessThanEqual Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Fun* fact, iskra means spark. John F and Sigmund Fraud 2
nigel bickle Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Thanks all Sometimes I despair of the direction this place takes, but the wealth of knowledge here, coupled with the depth of understanding & willingness to help always brings me back. jonny69 Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Same size as upright Ford Pop. That’s bloody annoying, because I binned an unused set of 4 a couple of months ago. You could have had them for £postage.
nigel bickle Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Cheers Jonny. £6 a set of 4 delivered on thief bay, so hardly a hardship.. Appreciated though
320touring Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 It's like teh Google, but only if it gave you appropriate results. Dave_Q and Nicola H 2
