You’re right mate lol

Someone sent me a parts diagram of the pipework. Number 7 is the culprit. Going to find out a part number and troll as many vauxhall specialists as possible.

Except big RWD ones :)

Are these T-pieces present on BMW motors too? I have no clue if they have the same layout or not - but it may be a more common source if so......... well spotted on the blocked pipe - I'd never have seen that!

Well my friend under cover can’t find any vauxhall dealer with the part in stock. So I’ve ordered 2x T piece 8x4x8. She’ll be back on the road soon

So my two new inline T pieces arrived in’t post yesterday. Couldn’t help myself but get straight into putting right what bodgery had been done before. I built up the filter housing and plumbed in the T pieces. Bled the fuel system up once again and she fired into life. Left her running for 5 mins to check for leaks. The engine has, NO LEAKS. Shut down, wiggle the return pipe off number 4, NO PRESSURE. Job done. One happy sutty.

I couldn't imagine the person who would class this as clean

Somehow I’d missed this thread.

Bloody ace car sutty, I love these and Senators. My dad looked at buying a Carlton estate years back, I think it was a CDI in that lovely dark red metallic. Sadly he bought a Hyundai Accent instead which pissed me off!

I genuinely feel sorry for that bloke, even now.... my heart sank for him as I watched that haha. But alas good sir, no biscuit for you!

The sorry shitbox was last taxed in 1994.

Always had a soft spot for these........have had a couple of GSI 3 litres, which are lovely...................traces of Chevy Caprice /Buick Roadmaster in the styling. Rear wheel arch rot always a worry.................'andsome though.

Cracking cars. I favoured the 1.8i and 2.0i versions. Surprisingly swift, lovely and leggy on the m'way and good on fuel. I'd smoke a good one today.

So today we have taken the carlton down to the classic restoration show at the NEC. Thought it best for a good run out after all the leaks it had. And first time since the Kollekshun I’ve put derv in it. Wondered why there was a wing nut in the filler neck and decided to investigate. I have done found the spare key!

Been outside all day, considering the weather isn’t shite so made the most of a good day. Have replaced the dash light bulbs so now I can see what’s going on at night. Winnah. Also given it a bath and fitted it with the obligatory autoshite dealer sticker. Thanks ruffgeezer!

I was only saying to myself the other day that this car would be great if it gave me 12 months of trouble free motoring. How wrong was I?

Speedo stopped working last night. Normally I could manage without, as the RPM and gear selected are a good indication to speed, however with the amount of greed cameras around I thought best to diagnose. Clocks were ok, replaced a few dash bulbs (when in Rome n all that) so I set to in the rain, pulled the cable end off the gearbox and used my handy drill to replicate drive. Cable snapped. YAY.

Yes, I do have an axle stand, its further under. 8)

Well Some time hath passed. I fitted a new speedo cable, now the speedo is reading 5/6mph more than it did before.....which is strange as its only the cable thats been replaced. How queer.

But on a plus note, I bought 6 Diplomat alloys, and 4 brand new tyres. Looks less Poverty spec now!

Oh, and it passed MOT today. WINNAHHHH
