eddyramrod Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Beauty is in the eye of..................................... Yadda Yadda Yadda Exactly. Now remind me again why I have to waste my days beholding street after street of ugly, aggressive, monochrome BMWs and Audis...? danthecapriman 1
Sheefag Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Jeezo these mustangs are fuggin ugly . There’s got to be better yank metal out there for the money .Beauty is in the eye of..................................... Yadda Yadda Yadda I've seen this car for sale between Cape Coral and Punta Gorda for at least five years, why it never sells is beyond me.It's the perfect compromise between British design and American propulsion, a steal at only $3950
For Fiats Sake Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I've found that there's nothing so unsatisfying as finally getting exactly what you want, it's the journey getting there that's fun. Joloke, Bobthebeard and inconsistant 3
Bren Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Whenever I see one of those mustangs I think Charlies Angels. I think David Van Day out of Dollar may have had one. sierraman and eddyramrod 2

Tamworthbay Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Perhaps the "oh no Mericans are hard to talk to" attitude leads to Americans not wanting to talk to an overseas buyer - especially when they have so much potential locally... maybe a case of the chicken or the egg? That being said... I live in a dry state - we've had less that 1/10th of an inch of rain since last winter - and if there is something in the Los Angeles/Orange County area you would like me to look at feel free to ask. Here's one on Craigslisthttps://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/1974-ford-mustang-2/6409131063.html It has two less than the correct amount of cylinders, it's automatic, and has a floppy top so you can enjoy the balmy English weather. It's a bit far from me but, Meowodchina lives close. I live near a shippers that specializes it overseas export - I am willing to bet that you could own that and have it on your doorstep for under $6,000. Just sayin like. That mustang is ok, but this just made a grown man go weak at the knees:https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/1969-camaro-ss-supercharged/6418839960.html Can anyone lend me $25000? or do you think he would be interested in a Roffle at $400 a ticket?
eddyramrod Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I can remember in 74/75 there was a test duel in Motor magazine, between a Mustang II Ghia 2.8 coupe (ie notchback) and a Capri II 3.0 Ghia. The Capri won easily, as one might expect from a British magazine. Not that Ford took any notice, because it wasn't very many years before the 3.0 Essex disappeared in favour of the 2.8 Cologne in the Mustang.I always thought the test had been a bit harsh on the Mustang, but then I've always had sympathy for the underdog. danthecapriman and Joloke 2

Same tyre kicking offer is available should you find the Camaro you just can't live without - just don't whatever you fucking do pronounce it like Mr. "owd aht yer 'and" Brewer...Many thanks, and when I win the lottery you will be the first to know. Sadly my desire for an SS of 67-69 vintage is unlikely to match my disposable budget for some time. That was the first one I found and to be honest I would prefer an unmolested example, it would have to be black unless it was a bargain, but that would put in in the $30000 plus market from what I have seen over the last couple of years. danthecapriman Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Doesn't mr Brewer own a Camero? They did a nice one on WD once but I'm sure he ended up buying one himself. Joloke 1

eddyramrod Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 He might well have a CamEro but they are rubbish. He should have bought a CamAro, as in a ponycar made by Chevrolet.... Joloke and danthecapriman 2
danthecapriman Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Do you think we could find two in France? Instead of our Cortinas? Most likely at least one, I've got a tiny pecker so I tend to go for really really big cars! A land yacht will do me so you can have the Camero! It's lovely, metallic blue with blue velour. Not used for a few years but looks really good still.I'll try to get a pic of it. alf892, eddyramrod, Sheefag and 1 other 4

danthecapriman Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Sorry Dan - that's one of the few times he actually gets the pronunciation right - usually he pronounces is Cam ahhhhhh ro It should be Cam-aero.This one then is wrong? https://youtu.be/bYHFWZJc90E Bloody GM, can't do anything right. New POD Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I've found that there's nothing so unsatisfying as finally getting exactly what you want, it's the journey getting there that's fun. I once spent 3 years looking for the right CalibrE - it was shit. Shitter than dogshit wiped on your pizza.
Clanger Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 This one then is wrong? Bloody GM, can't do anything right. You don't get pronunciation issues with Fords!FFS Dan you just made my ears bleed listening to the cockerny c**t say it wrong... Interestingly if you watch that whole episode he swaps the way he says the word - I am guessing he gets it right when there's someone with a big stick behind him. GM seem fairly happy with the way the word is pronounced... Sorry to derail Jo's Ford thread with some GM nonsense... danthecapriman 1

danthecapriman Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I'm crap with correct pronunciation of some stuff! My English is pretty shit really for an Englishman. Piss poor schooling I suppose. So how do you say mine then? Marquis. I would say it: marquee Or is it: marqwiss... I know it's spelt as in the title of a nobleman, as opposed to like the tent you put in your garden for tea parties.
Clanger Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 You have it right Dan. Just be grateful you don't have a Brougham... although, you might have one danthecapriman 1
