Right..wheels..........14" wires weren't going to cut it.............17" wires on MGB hubs are £350....each, so not an option. I found a very nice men in Tiverton who found these, welded in a set go MGB centres into 17" BMW steel wheels, and also narrowed them a tad. He also had an almost brand new set of tyres which he threw in for nothing. Total cost.....less than the price I'd been quoted for one 17" wire wheel.

Now what this needs is a power unit form a Bentley or perhaps maybe 6.75 litres of Rolls Royce power and auto transmission. Step this way sir post-5515-0-54053400-1512851387_thumb.jpg

It does..if you want to pop round with it, a tub of grease, and a big hammer, I'm sure we could persuade it to fit................seriously, does that run [and select gears] ?

A 6.75 Rolls Royce V8 with zoomies! :D

Thinking about Triumph straight six.......if anyone has one kicking about, some measurements would be handy................

I've got a Borg Warner type 65 autobox you can have for free, formerly mated to a Stag V8 but also fitted to 2500's in period I believe? I got it from freecycle about 9 months ago to save it from scrap.

I will try and hot wire it next week if I get time. I would be surprised if it wasn't a good runner.

Ok, will it fit with a lot of faff  :-D

Anything can be made to fit with enough faff.

This is the silliest thing I've seen for a long time.

Bravo!

Rather than raise the roof, could you lower the floor?
