Not your usual airport display car...absolutely immaculate.

30 years of the Favorit.

I'll take it. What's your maximum weight allowance on the flight?

What airport is this in? I'm going to guess Prague.

Spot on.

Two of my favourite things in one photo...a Favorit and a piano. Nice to see the Favorit getting some recognition. Love my Silverline estate.

That's got the low compression 135 lump too. Interior very Autoshite in beige n brown

Have never driven one of them, and that bugs me! Everyone I know who's had one rated it as a cracking little car at the time. Think heavy steering was the only real complaint.

I always thought they drove like a mid 80s Renault; like an 11

Mine was on proper lowering springs, handled surprisingly well, steering was a bit heavy, but not Lada bad. They were a bloody good car, just the OMGHGF problem killed many off fairly early in life, the mk2 was surprisingly strong in a crash too, after seeing a Silverline estate after an argument with a BMW head on, drivers door still opened, and the driver suffered minor cuts, BM driver had to be cut free

My mum had one, the seats killed my back within minutes of sitting in it. Shame really as the rest of it wasn't a bad car.

A bit off topic, but fitted a towbar and proper electrics to a 62 plate top of the range Superb the other day, and was very impressed how well made and put together it was- far superior to all the Audi's and VW's I've done. Much of the interior had to come out, and it was as well finished in unseen places as on the top.  Not often I'm impressed with a "new" car, especially a VAG product, but WOULD.  Had a few Favorit's a good while back and liked them a lot, but have never had the pleasure of owning a REAL Skoda- one day..

Billy Ocean is, apparently, incredibly popular in the Czech Republic. The beige that the Felicia could be ordered in was known as 'When the Going gets Buff'.

135 badge tells me that's injected...the 135 was the low compression single point injected version of the 136 if my memory of their engine numbering system is correct.

Had a 135 Rapid for a while and rapidly grew to hate that system for having several non standard parts - an unobtainable lambda sensor being one of them. Had the car two years and never once had it running right.

Not injected, the base carb Favorit had the low compression 135 engine in, it is also a late pre injection model, all SPi cars had the black dash and Vedub-ised door panels with black cloth coverings, and the 'hockey stick' grab handles, and the doors had side impact bars, and thicker cloth covered head rests, plus different steel wheels, with black centre caps
