Aye, hoping that's the case for the pump, but the lack of turning over is causing me more concern, no point fixing the fuelling system if there is something more sinister at hand around the corner!

What's more concerning is the engine will not turn over on the starter at all, even with a brand new battery on. The solenoid is working, but no turning over. Did before but not now. Can't even roll it in gear (whole engine appears to turn on its mounts.)

 

Sounds like the starter has jammed. Put car in gear and try to push forwards and backwards. Hopefully you'll hear a clunk as it disengages.

Well, I finally pulled my finger out and started stripping the Omega to find the cause of the problem.

 

Didn't take me long.

 

Shame really, it was a pleasant cruiser but this is now destined for the scrappy.

 

Can probably wait a while, MrsH is eight days overdue now. At least I'm going to get a clear driveway again.

Poor show.

 

That's two cars in as many days getting scrapped on here. Both newer than the car I just put through an MOT!
