Vectra EGR

Fed up with the car going into limp mode and nobody prepared to work on it I removed and cleaned the EGR.

It took just over an hour to get off. It did'nt look to contaminated but it was stuck - it had'nt took much carbon to make it malfunction.

I stripped it down and got the Mr Muscle out -

 

 

I also give a clean to the pipework

 

 

Putting it back was a ballache - lots of things in the way and I can see why the trade wont touch 3.0 derv.

 

Took car for a spin - definately driving better but only time will tell if it's cured the fault.

Surprising how little crap in the wrong place can cause an issue. Hopefully it will behave itself now.

I thought the Saab's engine bay was tight, thats ridiculous! Never ever drop anything in there, it'll never be seen again!
