Brodders didn't purchase. He'd given me a realistic top price to bid up to.

Bloody hell, I wouldn't pay that for a Metro.

 

My max bid was actually half that, thinking that with paying the auction fees, and compensation to £95 Peugeot for having to drive over 100 miles in a Metro, I would be able to sell it for a grand and have made enough for a nice meal out. I thought I was being cheeky with the low price but I didn't expect it to go for THAT much.

 

However, you will be hopefully be seeing more shite from me. The 75 has been too reliable for any meaningful updates on here (unless you want to see me posting about changing the plastic casing on the key fob), so I shall have to find some shite over summer that may provide something interesting to write about/get pissed off with and sell.

 

I would like to thank £95 Peugeot again for going to bid on the Metro; I think he was as stunned as I was to see it start at £800. Beforehand he did say that he thought it could reach roughly what it ended up going for, but I reckon he was a bit surprised to see it go for as much as it did. But I guess we now all know that decent Metros aren't seen as bangers anymore.
