FML focus airbag light reset?

i needed to use the car with the passenger seat out , now the seat is back in and the light wont fuck off

 

how do i reset it ?  i have forscan but cant see how to make it stop

 

any help pls

I'd just make sure it's cleaned up with some electrical cleaner.

im sure its all clean ...its the fact the light come on due to it being unpluuged and now wont reset

Disconnect battery for 15 minutes then reconnect see if that makes a difference. On the Mondeo the airbag light flashes in a sequence that lets you know where the fault lies. Focus could be same

Have you disconnected the battery for an hour/ overnight? Might be worth doing that first. If that doesn't sort it, it's fucked

Or needs a dealer level tool.

Disconnect battery as mentioned. Unplug and plug in the underseat connector several times then reconnect the battery. The underseat connectors are notoriously sensitive on most cars.

Remove cluster, remove bulb, refit cluster. HTH

thats what i feared ...can i buy something cheap on ebay or am i having to have my pants pulled down at a dealers

Any independent garage will be able to do an airbag reset on a focus

Is this within the realms of a £3.99 eBay Bluetooth OBD reader and a free app on a Smartphone? Most of 'em suggest they can clear simple codes.

i have a delphi knock off interface and am in great dunmow/takeley/chelmsfordish depending on where i lay my hat. might be able to use it to reset your light?

sounds good will report back after disconecting the battery sinse its free and worth  a try

i have forskin,and it will erase faults no problem,sounds like a bad connection to me.

just a thought,did it fire the pre tensioner when you plugged it back in.

nah nothing went off....could you give me a quick run through how i turn it off as im not that clued up with forscan
