Come on, chodbotherers, this heap is too good to be sold on the Gum and used for Brexit celebrations by soon to be permanently unemployed flat roofed pub users.  I will have another ticket, randomly.

I'm still sulking about the 'B' word. Will be for years. The car must be saved from that fate. It's a Daimler!

My word, an actual unrusty sunroof panel! Not often you see one of those! Replacing the sunroof panel is an easy and fairly quick job on the XJ40. Does the blower work on defrost but not at other speeds? - That's a common failure and is caused by faulty Darlington resistors on the blower motors.

I know, hence the picture of such non rustyness:)

Re the blower no idea- previous owner mentioned something about a resistor..so could be that.

I have had a quick pilot of this on a dark and cold evening and it is LOVELY, if money was not as absent as it is at present it would come along for at least a little while (probably forever at the price) unfortunately any monies that are available have been allocated :(

Soooooo comfortable.

Very interesting!

Don't do what my nephew did with my uncles 3yr old 3.6XJ40-he tested a bulb using the car battery and shorted something out -£600 later (1990 prices) all was well.

Bon Voyage!!
