Irish Car Crustier Than Anticipated Shocker - Sadly There Are Bad News As Well

You are living in the Twilight Zone?

Not quite. Down the road in Clane. It can't be the twilight zone as we have cable broadband...

'course not. I like it already, and I've not even had a ride in it. The car did many miles yesterday without problem, so it's already proven itself not fucked. It's a 47 year old car, character a prized trait.

Well, Tom also used the term 'character'.

I abide his verdict email.

I CAN HAZ THEM SCARES

He said if it has many .gif attachments, it's not good news.

Am I the only one sitting on live coal until it's revealed whether I grabbed into the toilet bowl or not?

Well, at least the scrap of metal in that grille is from another Rover, looks like an R8 gave up a front sill tread, the bonnet badge and a rear door badge to create that... characterful... addition.

I think you are way too subservient to authority.

Not really.

Irish Water hasn't seen a penny out of me or Mrs H. They can FRO. Same with that Poll Tax years back.

I have a toll tag for the M50, but I've been know to take a few gratis trips whilst waiting for registration to be processed.

Knowing the system is the key to working it, naturally.

I say. Beer drinkisation is in order one of these days, what, what?

Yep. Up for a beer if I'm not working one of my random lorryist shifts.

It is true that art is not understood by all.

So what do you suggest?

the bonnet badge

I'm more inclined to think it's a boot badge, based on relative size.

Aye it is. PM. I PMd you, but it may have got lost in the forum downtime.

Yeah, PM went into the ether, apparently. I'll be back in Eire late tonight until Friday.

How can this be realistically arranged without too much plasterised driveage involved?

Also, no news yet from The Lake View Rover Sanatorium.

Which could be good news. If I were optimistic. Which I'm not.

Not being optimistic was the right decision, as always.

The car is slighly more fucked than anticipated. Unfortunately there are also bad news - Tom's family problems sadly have now become tragic.

Thus for the time being I'm not going to bother him to the extent that I'm not even contacting him to pick the car up.

Someone signalled interest in buying the car as is. He also put everything on hold due to Tom's unfortunate circumstances at the moment.
