The Moog Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I have been in contact with bubble car museum and they can host us on 2nd - 4th June Field is free to hire but you pay for the camping - £9 a night. Benefits would be that you get toilets etc already provided for people. Also there is internal space you can hire for the evening - Potentially a place to do the Bucketeer Quiz. (see below for more details) o paddocks and one acre rally field next to the museum building.o electrical hookups.o fresh water, loos and showers, disabled loo and toilet/disposal facilities washup areao Indoor area for hire for evenings. http://www.bubblecarmuseum.co.uk/camping-rally-facilities-at-the-museum/ I am happy to book it but would need to know numbers and whether it works for people? So stick your name down on the relevant list below if you would like to come for the weekend 2nd June. If we can raise over 10 people then I will get on it and get it booked. Camping - Name + Number of nights Visiting - Name beko1987, Supernaut, Twiggy and 4 others 7

beko1987 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 A rally field? that sounds cool. Just waiting on if Amy is working that weekend, only up the road from my dads too
beko1987 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Plus if we go here, one of the more hardcore shiters would have to buy the cheapest, shonkiest bubblecar to bring...
alpinerapier Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Excellent choice of venue. Do at least one rally there every year and would highly recommend. The owners, Mike and Paula are real enthusiasts and there is plenty of oldchod/restoration projects outdoors to keep most amused. Might have to change my rally plans for 3-4 June then........
beko1987 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Camping - Name + Number of nights RML2345 - Two nights.Beko1987 - Two NightsVisiting - Name Possibly Fatha_Beko, Stepmum_beko and daughter_beko (they came on the train at SF16). Do visitors actually count though or can they just turn up, pay whatevs and get in? Dad's never been and I think would like to come on the sat
Twiggy Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Well up for this, possibly camping for both nights. However, I`m anticipating having a total knee replacement after Easter, and you can not drive for 6 weeks minimum after the operation. Just have to wait and see.
bub2006 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Thank you for taking the heat off of me a little. Bubble Carl museum sounds great beko1987 1

davidfowler2000 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I shall attempt to action time off work but it should be reet for both nights Supernaut 1

Supernaut Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I shall attempt to action time off work but it should be reet for both nights Bus? BUUUUUUS! I shall look into coming too. It sounds much nicer than 6-cyl's field with a portaloo dumped in the corner.
Guest Breadvan72 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Bung me down for one night please.
cms206 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Is that not the weekend Wobbler can't do? That'd be upsetting. Naturally I am in. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk binhoker668 1
beko1987 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 One more stupid question, soz, is there any limit on entry times? IE doe the museum have to be open upon arrival or can we turn up whenever? I haz a plan to take Eva to my dads en route on Friday, but cant leave until after school, so wont get to peebo until after tea (might treat her to a little chef en route), then by the time that's happened and I've done the 45 minutes from crowland to boston it could be quite late... Will it work like Llangollen where we turned up and just pony up with them in the morning?
Supernaut Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Seeing as I'm a wuss and I'm not up for doing 440 miles in one go, I may be stopping somewhere along the way. Perhaps stop in Glasgowshire and convoy with the big yellow bus? That would be ace. beko1987 1
beko1987 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I thought Fowler wasn't bringing the bus this year after the impressive fuel figures from last year? Would be a shame if it didn't turn up though. Maybe Dave, you should take out the top deck, then pick up 20 scotlanders en route to chip in for fuel then use the top deck as camping/partying... Then you can rally it around the field rantingYoof and eddyramrod 2

Richard Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 As it stands I should just about manage both nights. I'm hoping the company policy of knocking back my holiday requests and then approving other people's later requests isn't going to continue into this year. I won't be answering the work phone the night before either. CreepingJesus 1
beko1987 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Also, no DW? I r sad.We could get a lifesized cardboard cutout printed of him? Supernaut, eddyramrod, wuvvum and 2 others 5
hairnet Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Day visitor sat aft and sun Working so have to come down after In Norfolk the week before no way I swap the bank holiday Not camping tho ta
trigger Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 PS trig no excuseYour quite right! I'll be well up for this as long as it doesn't clash with anything. Richard 1
trigger Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Just a suggestion before i get my head bite off but as Dolly can't make that weekend and theres quite a few other events on that weekend (plus some of my mates want to come but already committed to that date) would the weekend before be free or is that asking too much?.
The Moog Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 I can ask and also ask about 16th June. Weekend before is a bank holiday which might be hard for people. I think whatever date it is it will be hard for some people Beko - your asking questions I have no answers to . I will get date booked and then an sort out finer details. I have literally just asked about booking field. Cleon-Fonte, trigger and beko1987 3

I've tried to get to SF for the past 2 or 3 years and not made it yet so I'm going to do my damndest this year but the weekend before that is spring bank holiday which is a no no for me and probs a lot of others, maybe the one after or any other in June that doesn't clash with too many other things?
JohnK Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I think whichever weekend gets chosen it'll affect some people's plans anyway i.e. If it was the weekend before I'm out as I'm on holiday etc... I think chances of getting everybody free on one weekend are slim. alf892 and BorniteIdentity 2
