How to cut copper brake pipe?

Anybody got any tips on getting a clean cut on this stuff please? I tried a hacksaw but it gave a very rough cut - most unsatisfactory. I'm struggling to think what I can use to obtain a clean cut.

Those little pipe cutter things that plumbers use, don't know if it's got a fancy name.

I used to knock up brake pipes in the motor factors back room years ago using just that tool.

Wait until it's really dark, wear dark clothing but nothing that makes a noise - fleece is better than a waterproof jacket.

Gloves so there's no fingerprints, and so you've not got brake fluid on your hands if the police stop you.

Arrange an alibi in advance. 

It's easier to go for the flexis in all fairness.

Initially place it over the pipe and tighten the wheel until the blade is just in contact with the pipe.

Turn it around the pipe a few times before tightening slightly and turning a few more times.

It should always turn around the pipe fairly freely. If not then it is too tight.

Continue until the pipe falls in half.

The pipe cutter is ideal but if you do use the hacksaw then clean the end up with a file and you should still be able to get a good flare.

Junior hacksaw and a warding file if you've not the right tool.

A pair of sharp snips a bit of pressure and twist the snips around the pipe once you've made a deep enough indentation bend pipe and will snap of once you've flared the pipe will hardly see the imperfections in pipe

Hacksaw and file will do it, but blow through the pipe to clear out any filings before fitting it.

Don't buy the very cheapest pipe cutter you can find, they're shit.

 

Spend a little bit more and the difference is noticeable.
