Unlikely to be loads of progress updates as I can't be bothered, but this is the start

No, it's additional, but will come in handy during Mondeo repairs which will take ages because I am slow and lazy (except when buying new chod)

Crying pumpkin behaved faultlessly all the way home.

Highlights -

Toasty heater although it isn't that cold today - easy to get comfortable temp.

Haven't had a Badermatic for a while so had forgotten how easy they make it.

In spite of being warned to bring CDs due to the fabulous DAB radio (it is a pretty good unit) having no reception, a bit of a tweak at the Wetherby Services had FM working - only Radio1, R4, Classic FM and one other (can't recall) but a big improvement on the CDs (why do I always bring stuff I don't like?)

My fave bits of the car so far though are -

The rear speakers inside the roof above the tailgate.

The auto dipping rear view mirror - I have had a few of these in the past (Mondeo, ZT-T, Jaaaag) and they were all a bit crappy, but this one works a treat.

Also like the tall glasshouse - plenty of visibility,

Alarm works - set it off like a pillock - it is proper loud too as it beeps the horn.

In a parallel fantasy universe I'd love to reinstate some of the former glory - the cruise control etc, air suspension etc, but I suspect I may need to try and be a bit more realistic.  Went and got my copy of "Original Range Rover" but it doesn't go late enough to cover these final ones - pah!

Oh seller is top Gr7 bloke - but that's starting to become normal for this place eh?

Don't have collection shot as there was only the two of us and oddly enough, I didn't take my tripod and don't have a selfie stick :)

Glad you got home safe and sound and it's the buyer who was gr7 this time,

I even got taught a new purchasing trick with magical airwave money, yes sad I know managed to get into mid forties without using invisable money to buy or sell a car.

I managed to grab a pic for you.

Oh, I thought the taxi journey from one side of the M1 to the other was the entire collection trip.

Then I saw pictures of the Tyne Bridge and thought "oh, that taxi driver is proper taking the piss"

Having seen these pictures I now realise why it's called 'The Crying Pumpkin'. Lovely car, well bought.

So that's where I left my DAB head unit...:-)

It needs a separate aerial for DAB - although I'm told you can Heath Robinson something using traditional leads.

You jammy get!

How did I miss that was up for sale again so soon , just as I've convinced MrsN I need an economical runaround to save miles on the new work Merc and I've almost got enough X-boxes left in the kitty. It looks like a bargain now, in a couple of years it'll seem as if it was given away.

I must say I was pretty impressed!

I have a few dab aerials and connectors here from various failed experiments - I've fitted Dab to the ZT-T, the Mondeo (was in the Puma) so pleased this (nearly) has it.  Just need to mackle up some kind of release keys now as I don't seem to have any JVC ones.
