How the hell would it have got in this condition? Lifting out? Why is the engine bay full of concrete?

Doesn't take long for the water to do it's damage. :-(Is it concrete? Probably just dried river silt.

About a week after this was posted, the soft auld get sold (or scrapped, but I can't see that) his Princess and got an R reg Omega!! He still had his Cortina though - I'm surprised the jobsworths at Wirral Borough Council haven't tried to make him get rid yet!

Argh! He's scrapped his Cortina! It's gone!

Haven't really seen a lot locally to be honest, even wider field like Frodsham where I saw this beauty:

Complete with worn mudflaps. There was a bloke sitting in some posh sports car just off the photo wondering why I was taking a photo of this and not his car. :D

What is it about Japanese cars from the 80's that makes them so resilient with just a wash and polish every now and then?

1995 Fiesta going in the body shop. Has had arches and sills repaired, now getting respray!!!

hehe yes maxi is mine! had u been around later on you may have got a shot of me an my mate towing my reliant rebel from green lawn to ingleborough road using Pat's old nissan sunny as tow car, i didnt think moving half a mile could be so traumatic! it worked out that we moved just as the schools were coming out an traffic was awful, he rope snapped 3 times, once on bedford road an held up the traffic for a while! lol i wont be doing that again in a hurry, car can hopefully stay at my grans until it goes for an mot under its own steam!

But whilst out with the Old Man coming back from ordering Wheel bearings (From the great guy Lloyd in Motorvation) ..

I went in there once and he was clearly drunk, his eyes were all red, and he was a bit unsteady (and his breath smelt of booze). He still provided excellent service and appeared from out of nowhere. There's a second hand toolshop round the corner which is also pretty good.
