anonymous user Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Perhaps he owns the red one as well, I remember a couple of lads in the village where I grew up who shared a numberplate between their motorbikes
forddeliveryboy Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 First prize for who can find an old advert for a terminally-crusty red 99 on a K.
jonathan_dyane Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Mind the wheels it's had fitted since it became a ringer look shit compared to the proper ones. Wilko220 1
forddeliveryboy Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Looking at the MoT history, either the speedo's broken or has been disconnected to preserve the low mileage, to account for the lack of on-the-roadness of WTF 429T once the plates are swapped back and the car sold on. Wonder what he paid.
Ghosty Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Mind the wheels it's had fitted since it became a ringer look shit compared to the proper ones. They probably got sold, judging by the owner's mingebag efforts. jonathan_dyane 1
Essex V6 Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Here's the advert from early 2014: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C473097 The tacked-on rear fogs suggest it is a (UK) '79 model, that's when the legislation applies from. Built in Finland, '77.I reckon the original plate is very apt!
Richard Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Perhaps he owns the red one as well, I remember a couple of lads in the village where I grew up who shared a numberplate between their motorbikes I would think it's been rotting away in his garden since the 1980s, or was scrapped when they didn't bother so much about paperwork. The wheels and mismatched Turbo head restraints suggest he's a serial Saab botherer with a stock of spare parts.
Adrian_pt Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Clearly enthusiast* owned, so doubt a peanuts offer will cut the mustard. Not seen a cheap tested 99 in yonks (which is irritating because I'm very much in the market for one).

Somehow I've lost interest in this motor given all that is untoward and mismatched with it - if anyone else wants to take a look, it lives in Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire.
